However, Los Angeles is without a doubt the center of this star-studded world. Johnny Depp owns homes all over the world, including an estate in France and even an entire island in the Bahamas. While he’s recently been selling several penthouse condominiums in downtown Los Angeles, the Pirates of the Caribbean star still calls the Hollywood Hills home. Depp owns five out of six homes on a cul de sac just off Mulholland Drive.

Next, to Hollywood Boulevard, Mulholland Drive is arguably the most recognizable road in all of Los Angeles. Many actors call it home, including Jack Nicholson, who purchased his house in 1969. For decades, Nicholson’s next door neighbor was none other than Marlon Brando. Following Brando’s death in 2004, Nicholson purchased his friend’s home and converted it into a private art gallery.

Jennifer Lawrence recently purchased her 5,550 square foot, Hamptons-inspired home in Beverly Hills. Previous owners include Cameron Diaz, Ellen Degeneres and, most recently, Jessica Simpson. The Hunger Games star purchased the home, which includes a pool and a koi pond, in 2014 for $8 million.
While her heart, and permanent address, remain in New York, Emma Stone calls Beverly Hills home when she’s in Los Angeles. Co-starring with fellow actor and friend Ryan Gosling in the hit La La Land seems to finally have won over Stone, who now counts the City of Angels as home.
