10 Bond Street

Standing seven stories tall, the presence of just 11 residences in the 10 Bond Street building makes this an exceptional place to live.

History

8-12 Development Partners is the team behind 10 Bond. This collaborative effort includes The Chetrit Group, Ironstate Development, and SK Development. The combined track record of this team includes over 1 million square feet of developed space in New York City, as well as the generated value of over $2 billion.

To transform this space, 8-12 Development Partners chose Selldorf Architects for the job. Since 1988, Selldorf Architects has been the driving force behind major residential projects like the Urban Glass House and 200 Eleventh Avenue.

Architecture

One of the main philosophies behind the designs of Selldorf Architects is that architecture needs to address its permanence. Because the firm is very interested in longevity, they wanted to bring the same sensibility that they used for projects like their 2001 renovation of the Neue Galerie.

The result of their focus on permanence and longevity is a building that’s inspired by the cast iron architecture that surrounds it. Not only does the building look beautiful on the outside, but thanks to its corner position and oversized windows, it’s able to provide residents with great views of both Lafayette and Bond Street.

Residences

Upon entering the lobby, residents and guests are greeted by beautiful mahogany. The mahogany is complemented by terrazzo floors that are richly tinted. Inside each apartment, Douglas-fir floors provide warmth, while marble slabs in the kitchen offer a great modern aesthetic.

This balance of graceful modernism is continued throughout the rest of each residence. And in the master bathrooms, large windows provide lots of natural light and great views.

Amenities

Residents of 10 Bond can work out in the building’s gym. Other amenities include a concierge and doorman, as well as cold storage and a package room. Residents interested in additional storage can also arrange for a private unit.

Availability

There are currently three residences available at 10 Bond. The first is a two bedroom with 2.5 bathrooms. The two bedrooms located on the third floor and feature 1,866 square feet of space. This residence offers north and south exposure and has a listing price of $4.55M.

The second residence that’s available has the same floor plans and features as the first one. The only difference is it’s located on the sixth floor. The asking price for this residence is $5.3M. The third available residence is a three bedroom with 3.5 bathrooms. Located on the third floor, this residence has 2,775 square feet of space and an asking price of $6.9M.

Neighborhood

Although Bond Street only spans two blocks, it has a vibrant history that goes back to 1805. From being the home of some of the city’s founding families to later becoming a hub for controversial artists, Bond Street now features buildings that were created by some of the best architects in the world.
