Topping out at 912 feet and comprised of 273 residential units, 125 Greenwich offers much-needed residential density close to the financial district. Led by Bizzi & Partners Development and described by The New York Times as “a downtown skyscraper with yacht-like interiors,” 125 Greenwich make big promises — promises that we’re sure it can keep.

Bizzi & Partners gave the job of building 125 Greenwich to Rafael Viñoly Architects, the folks behind the soaring toothpick-thin towers at 432 Park Ave and 227 Fifth Ave. Designed to be more of a thin column rather than a block of inelegant concrete, the building has been constructed with an upside down double I beam core so that the outside walls are all curtain walls. This means that each corner is the beautifully rounded class, allowing full, interrupted diagonal views.
There are also two narrow “waists” to interrupt the glass curtain walls and create visual depth (one of these is a private suite, the other holds mechanical equipment).
In addition to inverting the architectural core of the building, Mr. Viñoly also inverted the standard layout. Amenities are arranged at the top of the building on floors 86-88, and instead of cramming the studio units on lower floors, they too are near the top. There are no studio units below the 60th floor.
ResidencesResidences
The 273 apartments range from studio to three-bedrooms, all designed by British studio March & White. While the condo’s do err on the smaller side, there’s been no sacrifice for quality. Ample experience designing the world’s superyachts means March & White is uniquely suited to build luxury in a small space.
And bring the luxury they did, emphasizing light and space in three different palettes: Aqua for the blue of the Hudson, Terra, for the earth, and Stratus, for the clouds that the building sits among — all inspired by yacht and aviation form and function.

Starting in the kitchen, March & White use a range of marbles (depending on the palette) for waterfall islands and backsplashes. The faucets are custom-designed by March & White in London, and all the millwork is custom-ordered. Appliances are all by Miele.
In the bathroom, heated floors take the chill off those cold mornings, and a frameless glassed in shower creates space and openness. The vanities, backsplashes, and floors are completed in Calacatta Covelano, and nickel faucets and metal trim add heft to the room.
Chevron-patterned oak floors run throughout the units, taking residents through to the master bedrooms, where a lighter palette creates a warm, comfortable place to relax from the day. And with glazed windows, the chaotic sounds of the city are far away from your oasis.
Finally, the living and dining rooms are open and clear, with metal trim again nodding to the aviation inspiration and tying the rooms together, and rounded glassed-in corners create plenty of light.
Mart & White also have matching furniture packages for each palette so that residents can pair their interiors perfectly for a refined and deliberate design aesthetic.

125 Greenwich offers substantial facilities at the top of the city for its residents (aside from the lobby).
Speaking of which, the lobby itself is a work of art. A soaring two-story ceiling with custom light fixtures and marble elevator bays create open space within the heart of the I beam structure, while warm paneling makes it clear that residents are at home.

Shoot up to the 86th floor, and you’ll be greeted not only by stunning views but world-class amenities as well. A private gym, yoga studio, and 50-foot lap pool will keep you fit while the spa and sauna will help you relax after your workout. A media room, conference room, and dining room round out the top-tier amenities, and a full-time doorman and concierge keep the place functional and running smoothly.

Currently, there are 16 units available ranging from studios to three bedroom apartments.
Studios
There are currently four studios available. Prices start at $1.275 million for a 418 square foot unit on the 66th floor and cap at just over $2 million for south and west-facing corner unit on the 66th floor with 643 square feet of living space.
One bedroom
There are currently six one-bedroom units available, ranging from just under $2 million to $3.335 million. $2 million gets you a 30th-floor northeast corner unit, 913 square feet of living space, and one bathroom. At the top end, units offer a little over 1,000 square feet of space 1.5 baths and views to the south and west.
Two bedrooms
There are currently four two bedrooms available. Prices start at $4.2 million and generally range between $4.2 and $4.5 million. All the two-bedroom units are corner units with views mostly looking south and west and have around 1,600 square feet of living space. All two bedrooms have 2.5 baths.
There is currently one two-bedroom unit for $6 million, offering similar views and square footage but is located on the 80th floor, making it one of the highest units in the building.
Three bedrooms
Currently, there are two-three bedrooms available. They’re matching units, both with 1,931 square feet of living space, north and west views, and 3.5 baths. One is on the 25th floor for $4.825 million, and the other is on the 50th floor for $5.6 million.
