New York real estate is constantly evolving, and so are the relationships we build. At ELIKA Real Estate, our foundation has always been pure buyer advocacy. For over two decades, I’ve worked exclusively on behalf of buyers, never sellers, never both sides, staying true to the principle that buyers deserve undivided loyalty in a city where the playing field is anything but even.
It’s a commitment that has led us to become proud members of the National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents (NAEBA), an organization dedicated to upholding buyer-first ethics and eliminating conflicts of interest.
But in 2025, something began to shift not in our values, but in how we serve long-standing clients.
Not a Pivot. A Progression.Not a Pivot. A Progression.
This year alone, I’ve quietly closed 160 Leroy Street, Apt S7C, for $5.7 million and 40 Bleecker Street, Apt. 9D, for $5.8 million, both off-market sales, representing sellers I initially helped purchase those homes. These weren’t listings I sought out. They were private asks from clients who trusted me to complete the cycle.
Then came a turning point: my first official on-market listing, 192 Warren Street, a stunning $8.8 million townhouse residence in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. The seller? My best friend. I helped him buy the home nearly a decade ago. And when it came time to sell, he didn’t want just any agent; he wanted someone who knew the asset, the process, and him.
I said yes, and that first public listing landed on the front page of The Real Deal.
The moment wasn’t just personal. It was defining.
Why Now?Why Now?
What became clear this year is that relationships built on trust don’t end at the closing table; they evolve. When a client asks you to see them through the next chapter, you listen. Not because you’re changing your model, but because loyalty goes both ways.
This shift wasn’t strategic; it was relational.
What Changes and What Doesn’tWhat Changes and What Doesn’t
At ELIKA, we remain committed to buyer advocacy. That mission hasn’t changed.
Our NAEBA roots have shaped who we are and how we navigate every deal with transparency, discretion, and discipline. However, in 2025, it became clear that the very clients we had fought for on the buy side were turning to us again on the sell side and that we were uniquely positioned to deliver results that few others could.
Yes, we now offer select listing representation, not to chase listings, but to honor long-standing client relationships at the highest level.
We’re not pivoting. We’re completing the circle.
To our buyers: We’re still your fiercest advocates.
To our sellers: If you want a broker who’s spent two decades mastering the other side of the deal, who understands buyer psychology inside and out, you now have that option, too.
This is the evolution of trust. And it’s only just beginning.
