Amy Rivers

With over 30 years in New York and the surrounding suburbs, Amy brings passion and commitment to the job of finding her clients the ideal property for both their lifestyle and investment portfolio. Amy was raised in Louisiana and moved to New York in 1985 after graduating in accounting from Louisiana State University. Amy honed her financial skills on Wall Street. At Salomon Brothers, Amy worked in the Mortgage Backed Securities Group, followed by a position at JP Morgan in the Asset Liability Positions Group. Amy’s experience in the financial industry prepared her for the fast-paced, transactional New York real estate market. She has the analytical and financial tools needed to protect her clients’ interests.

Amy has raised three children and currently resides in the Chelsea/Hudson Yards neighborhood of Manhattan and has been inspired watching a new neighborhood emerge above the Rail Yards and nestled in and around the High Line. Amy walks over 30 miles a week discovering and rediscovering neighborhoods in Manhattan and the hidden gems that give each neighborhood its unique charm and personality.

Further helping to form Amy’s unique perspective on real estate is her experience staging homes for sale. Amy has helped to sell a number of properties with her keen understanding of the transformational ability of furniture placement and the occasional structural amendment.

Amy’s previous client advisory experience also benefits her new clients. Amy advises on purchases of traditional residential property, rental property, and investment property. Amy feels success is a result of truly understanding her clients’ goals, whether it be accommodating a growing family, relocating from another city, or rightsizing the home when the children leave the nest.

With a desire to give back, Amy has served in leadership positions on many boards and councils in the community. Perhaps the closest to her heart is Amy’s work with Women of Vision (WOV) chapter of World Vision. In her 17 years of involvement, Amy has lobbied in DC to end human trafficking, lead groups of women to Rwanda, Cambodia, and India to witness WOV/World Vision supported programs to help vulnerable women, children, and families, and she has participated locally at the World Vision Bronx Storehouse which helps to support teachers and schools in need of supplies.

With an eye for value and a deep understanding of the unique traits of Manhattan ’s neighborhoods, Amy works to find her clients the property that is not only the best personal fit, but also the best investment.
