A 1930 Candela building of restrained limestone, with apartments arranged so that the principal rooms face the park and the service rooms face the court. The plans are less grand than 740 Park but more liveable, which is much of their appeal.

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis owned the fifteenth-floor apartment from 1964 until her death in 1994, and the building has carried that association ever since without trading on it.
